About Me

My name is Katie Jurkiewicz, I'm an artist, a writer and a graphic designer, with the emphasis on the artist portion. What can I say about myself? I love to travel and I love to draw (and clearly I love Harry Potter too). This site hopefully explores those themes.

To answer the question no one ever asks, (but hopefully everyone has a secret desire to know),yes everything is for sale. Even stuff that I gave generously to friends and family I can take back, just for you.

I live in New Britain, CT USA, affectionately known as hard hittin New Britain. I have my BA in Studio Art from Trinity College and my MFA in Visual Art from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design. In addition to my art, I've also cowritten 3 unpublished manuscripts and 4 unproduced screenplays (that totally counts as being a writer). For my day job- well I wear many hats. I have a business called Katapilla Solutions which specializes in web design and social media for small businesses and local non profits (check it out here); I teach art in afterschool and summer programs, and get the chance to try lots of small jobs such as costume and set design for the CT Lyric Opera.
