Along the Copper Coast in County Waterford, Ireland

While attempting to capture this picture I nearly fell off a cliff. It was supposedly a footpath open to the public, only about three feet wide along the outside edge of the pasture fence.  I tripped and nearly fell off. Luckily I grabbed the fence, the electrified cow fence! Once again I was lucky that the shocks were infrequent. Besides, these cows seemed pretty well behaved.

I found Ireland to be just as everyone said- tight little roads, frequent sheep crossings, friendly people, and absolutely beautiful countryside.

Speaking of those tight little roads, driving on the left was a harrowing experience. Roundabouts? Scary. Taking a corner blindly on a road wide enough for at most one car? Super scary. As it turns out we were involved in a car accident. Driving slowly through the town of Waterford, our left side mirror clipped a mirror of a parked car. There was no sound, and no mark on our car, we didn't know we had done it! But the next morning, there was an extremely polite note from the police, letting us know what had happened and how we could rectify the situation.
