Privately, he was a hipster, who much preferred the original British version of your favorite TV show. Some might remember his fondness for a well made martini (gin, obviously). Others might appreciate how he taught them the finer points of craps. John was a world traveler who visited 29 countries across four continents, almost always with his daughter and partner-in-crime, Katie. He lived #vanlife with his wife, Carol, decades before it was cool. Nicknamed UJ by his nephews, John believed the best things in life could be found laying on a couch.
