Tomorrow, October 7 is our opening reception, come and see a small painting of mine (as well as work by 350 artists) at the Artspace gallery, at 50 Orange St, New Haven, CT.

Then the big show, next weekend, October 15 & 16, Armory Weekend at the Goffe St Armory (290 Goffe St, New Haven, CT). I will be showing some big paintings that I have not exhibited anywhere else... please join me!

New this Week: Salzburg & Sicily

With the dust settled on Oktoberfest, I can go back to devoting daily time to making art. I jumped right into expanding a few drawings from my Sicily sketchbook back in January and finishing a painting I started way back in June before I went to my residency in France... the old town of Salzburg, Austria, from my climb up to the fortress overlooking the town.

See all this work and more in person next week at City-Wide Open Studios in New Haven Oct 11 & 12!

City Wide Open Studios Success!

What a great weekend at the City Wide Open Studios Alternative Space weekend in New Haven! Artspace did a fantastic job putting on the 3rd largest open studios event in the country (full disclosure, my new job is at Artspace, but still :-)

I decided to go for a home- like installation, throwing my work up on the wall in the haphazard way I do at home, having a roaring fire with cocoa and colorful scarves available for people to borrow. Several children read my and Ryan's book The Hic'hikers Guide and said it was quote awesome- take that to heart children's publishers of the world!

Also, I am featured in this article in the New Haven Independent!
